Nu Tau Lambda Chapter
Nu Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was chartered in 1981 by 13 charter members. The chapter serves the greater Orange County area of Southern California. Many of our members live in Orange County as well as surrounding cities.
Nu Tau Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. had its beginning in the hearts of concerned brothers living in Orange County in the late 70's. The focus at that time was a desire to meet and interact with other black men living in the Orange County area.
Past Chapter Vice-President William Brown provided the momentum and energy to get the small group of brothers on track to acquiring a charter for an Orange County chapter. Initially the group met in the homes of various brothers where the Alpha trademark of "Goodwill" was shared by all. Nu Tau Lambda was chartered April 25, 1981 with the following fourteen brothers on its membership roster.

We are committed to promoting public awareness of critical issues affecting our communities and providing opportunities for civic engagement through our local service programs.
Our chapter runs on the leadership from its members. Our board of directors, committee chairs, and brothers working diligently at the chapter level all over the world and give up their time and talent to help the fraternity run.
